ABOUT
The Kangaroo's Story.
North Lakes Kangaroos Rugby League Club is a young club that provides an opportunity to play rugby league in a fun, safe, and friendly environment.

We were founded in 2012 and in our first year we fielded four junior teams and two senior teams. In 2019 the club fielded 23 Junior Teams, four Senior Teams and for the first time a Senior Female Team. In 2022 we will finally have a place we can call home.

We are a family club, focused on fun and participation and aim to assist our players develop both sporting and personal skills that will last them a lifetime.

We also aim to be a focal point in our community, being a great place for families to gather, meet new friends and get involved in the "greatest game of all".

Our Coaching staff are selected from a coaching panel selection process. Like many clubs we want to win the Premiership in each competition age group, however our main goal is to be known as a club that provides a safe environment where our young women and men can develop into the best versions of themselves. We ensure that each and every player is taught how to play Rugby League, which in many cases has led our Junior League players advancing through the ranks to play in the NRL.

As with all “volunteer” organisations, we strongly rely on the support of parents and friends to keep our club running smoothly. We can never have too many volunteers, especially on game days where sometimes we urgently need people to man the BBQ, set up or pull down match equipment or cleaning of the ground at the completion of the day.

We conduct club meetings regularly, and notifications will be posted on our social media channels, all are welcome to attend and be a part of the running of your child’s club. We hold a number of “events” during the season, our committee are always in need of new ideas or new people to assist in providing a great experience within the club. Please don’t be shy, this is a great way to be involved in your community, no experience is required, just your willingness to assist.
